More Updates

We have been busy, busy lately. Caleb has turned into quite the little boy, and is definitely no longer our little baby. He is 18 months old, 34 inches tall, and 29 pounds. He wears 2T clothes and size 7 shoes!!!! It's unbelievable how fast he changes. He has been dealing with recurring ear infections for several months and was referred to the ENT about month ago. He recommended that Caleb have tubes put in his ears. So, a couple weeks ago, he had his first "surgery". He did really well and was very brave. He didn't even cry when the nurse took him from us and carried him back to the operating room. He had a rough time after he woke up for a couple hours, but was fine after that. He has his follow up appointment next week, but he seems to be doing well. Darrin has been keeping busy at work. He also got some new golf clubs for his birthday and has gotten to use them several times so far. He's also taken up bike riding and has been riding 7-8 miles every other night. I'm finally getting some of my health issues figured out. About a month ago, an MRI of my spine showed that I have two bulging discs and a herniated disc in my lower back. I went in for an epidural cortisone injection a couple of weeks ago, and I have felt much better since. Other than that, work is going well and life is good!

Sprinkler Park

Caleb got to go the sprinkler park for the first time a couple weeks ago, and he LOVED it, as you can see below! It was really busy, and he jumped right in with the other kids. He wasn't shy at all. He even laughed when he would get sprayed/splashed by other kids.

18 Month Pictures

It's hard to believe that Caleb is already 18 months old! Where does the time go?!?! These are some of our favorites from the pictures we had taken.

Caleb's new yard

We took on a large undertaking this spring. As most of you know, when Caleb came along our two large dogs became outdoor dogs. They had the whole yard all to themselve, and they had done a number on it. Needless to say, we knew we had to do something so Caleb would have a place to play. We put up a fence dividing our yard in half (half for the dogs and half for Caleb). Then on Caleb's half we completely tilled the entire area and replanted it with grass seed. About a month ago, Caleb got to go play on it for the first time. These are pictures of him surveying his new turf and getting some good use out of his new bubble mower.

March for Babies 2010

This was our second year participating in the March of Dimes March for Babies. As you can see, our team grew! I was thrilled that our team was able to raise $850.00 for the March of Dimes. Hopefully, next year we can do even better! A big thank you to everyone, who donated!
