Victory Field

Caleb got to attend his first Indianapolis Indians game in September, and he loved it! Of course, Darrin and I spent most of our time taking turns wrangling Caleb, but it was still a beautiful night, and the Indians won.

Muncie Children's Museum

Caleb and I went on a playdate with a group from our church to the Muncie Children's Museum. He had a great time. If you ever get the chance to go, it's a great little museum with lots of hands on activities for little ones. Caleb's favorites were the water table and digging for dinosaur bones.

Roofing

Our big project for the summer was completely re-roofing our garage, which had been leaking for about 2 years. Over the course of one long weekend, with some help from my dad and my brother we ripped off four layers of shingles, put down plywood on one side, put on tar paper, and put on new shingles. Needless to say, it was Sunday night at dark when Darrin and I were finishing up the peak. It was well worth it when the first rain came and the floor of the garage was dry for the first time in a couple years!

Indiana State Fair

As usual, we made a trip to the State Fair this year. Caleb had a blast! As you can see, his favorite part was the tractor area. We also had the chance to watch a Sumo wrestling demonstration. It was really interesting. We sat right in front and every time one of them got thrown down, Caleb started signing and saying "more". Meanwhile, several of the little girls in the audience started crying. Despite the unbelievably hot weather, it was a great day filled with lots of fun and great food (especially the Garbage Burger - a pork burger topped with shredded pork barbecue). =)

Hundred Acres

We took some time this summer to visit the Hundred Acres at the IMA this summer. It was a wonderful day spent outdoors and great fun for Caleb since you could touch and play on all the works of art and there was lots of room to run around!

Hooray for cousins!

We were lucky to have Darrin's sister and her kids come for a visit this summer! Caleb had so much fun playing with his cousins. We went to the zoo and, of course, Reynolds. This was Caleb's first time at Reynolds since he's been walking, and he was in heaven. Definitely his daddy's boy.

More Summer Fun

We had a relaxing summer with lots of time to enjoy the beautiful weather. Caleb is such an outdoorsman! His favorite thing was riding the lawnmower with Grandpa Mike! He also became quite the fish and enjoyed swimming. We taught him how to jump into the pool, and he was even able to go under without problems. He was never content with just staying in the baby pool! We also enjoyed lots of 4th of July fun, including the balloon glow and parade in Cicero. Caleb LOVED the parade and wasn't even afraid of all the sirens.
